Accessibility

Everyone deserves access

Accessibility isn't a feature we bolt on. It's a requirement from day one. If we build products for families, we build for ALL families—including people with disabilities.

🎯

Our commitment

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all PrideRock Digital properties. That's not the minimum—it's our baseline. We're continuously testing, learning, and improving.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This covers perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content for people using assistive technologies.

🔍

Continuous testing

We test with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, high-contrast modes, and zoom up to 200%. We also work with users who rely on assistive technology to catch real-world issues.

🛠️

Built-in, not bolted-on

Accessibility is part of our design and development process from the first wireframe. Semantic HTML, proper ARIA labels, focus management, color contrast—these aren't afterthoughts.

🔧

How we ensure accessibility

⌨️ Keyboard navigation

All interactive elements are keyboard-accessible. Visible focus indicators show where you are. No keyboard traps.

🗣️ Screen reader support

Semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, descriptive link text, and ARIA labels where needed for context.

🎨 Color contrast

All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Information isn't conveyed by color alone.

🔍 Zoom & resize

Content remains readable and functional at 200% zoom. Text can be resized without breaking layouts.

📱 Responsive & touch-friendly

Touch targets are at least 44×44 pixels. Content adapts to different screen sizes and orientations.

⏱️ No time limits

Users aren't forced to rush. Sessions don't timeout unexpectedly. Content doesn't auto-advance without user control.

📝 Clear language

We write in plain English, avoid jargon, define technical terms, and use consistent navigation patterns.

🖼️ Alternative text

All meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are properly marked so screen readers skip them.

🚧

Known issues & ongoing work

We're committed to transparency. Here's what we're actively working on:

🔄 Continuous improvement

We conduct accessibility audits quarterly and prioritize fixes based on impact. As we add features, accessibility review is part of our launch checklist.

📋 Third-party content

Some embedded content (like videos or social media widgets) comes from third parties. We choose accessible providers when possible and provide alternatives when they're not.

🎯 Future products

FamilyHub and future products will launch with accessibility built in. We're designing with assistive technology users from the start, not retrofitting later.

🐛

Found an accessibility issue?

We want to know. Accessibility bugs are high-priority fixes for us.

How to report an issue

1️⃣

Tell us the page URL

Which page has the problem? Include the full URL if possible.

2️⃣

Describe what's not working

What were you trying to do? What happened instead? What should have happened?

3️⃣

Share your setup (if relevant)

What browser, OS, and assistive technology are you using? This helps us reproduce and fix the issue.

We review all accessibility reports within 2 business days and prioritize fixes based on severity and impact.

📚
